International Baccalaureate - Festival of Hope Trailer
BRIEF: Produced to launch the Festival of Hope, an event series designed to give young people a forum to lead the conversation on the issues that matter most to them, this arresting trailer is more than marketing. It’s a rallying cry.
The FOH team wanted to capture the event’s philosophy in a message that would resonate deeply with students and educators. Inspired by spoken-word poetry, I crafted a voiceover-driven narrative that pulses with a sense of urgency and possibility.
The final trailer delivers a reinvigorated vision of what it means to hope in an uncertain world and what is possible when we make room for inquiry and compassion.

FDIC - 90th AnNiversary Featurette
BRIEF: Produced to mark the 90th anniversary of the FDIC, this short featurette synthesizes nearly 100 years of institutional history into just a few minutes of insightful and engaging animation.
Working from a simple outline of events, I quickly researched and drafted a VO-driven narrative that traces FDIC’s enduring impact of protecting depositors and sustaining trust in the banking system. I delivered the final script and a production-ready collection of archival images, videos, and historical documents on an expedited deadline.

The JuneBugs
BRIEF: A vivid reimagining of the poem “The Junebugs” by Steve Scafidi, this animated short transports viewers into a storybook world where history and myth coexist and where the power of the imagination can breathe new life into even the most familiar stories.
I had the privilege to collaborate with the creative minds at Oddfellows to adapt Scafidi’s rich poem for the screen. In creating the screenplay, I sought to ground the poem in a historically evocative world, interspersing subtle details – a headstone, the iconic log cabin, and the split rail fence – which hint at the identity of the unnamed protagonist. As the guiding text for Oddfellows’ brilliantly realized short, my screenplay helped balance the swiftly unfolding narrative, setting up a visually arresting finale that lingers long after the credit roll.

DC Public Schools - DCPS Persists
BRIEF: DCPS Persists in an incredible program that provides seniors at DC Public Schools with one-on-one mentorship and resources to help them navigate the transition to college successfully.
Produced during the pandemic lockdowns, this TikTok-inspired promo playfully teases all the benefits enrollees receive before and after graduation in an approachable and engaging format. As a writer, my challenge was balancing the fun with the informative, plotting out a series of visual gags that effectively support the DCPS communications teams’ messaging goals.
The final script showcases the program’s offerings through lively pacing and clever reveals that speak to high schoolers in a medium they understand, wrapping real value in an enjoyably modern package.

AWS - Girls Tech Day | EMCEE Script
BRIEF: When Covid required a pivot to a remote format, I had the opportunity to write the emcee script to create a playful throughline for the entirety of the daylong global experience.
Working closely with the Creative Director, I expanded the initial concept into a 6-segment journey of self-discovery, creating a relatable host character whom attendees would meet as she undertook her own personal journey of self-discovery. My challenge was balancing a complex set of messaging goals in each short segment, advancing the Emcee’s storyline, and incorporating a short lesson in creative problem solving, all while performing light housekeeping duties for the virtual program.
The final script, researched and delivered in just four days, elevates the traditional emcee role to something more dynamic and engaging, particularly for the young audience of Girls Tech Day.
